De grootste Bugatti ooit was de Bugatti type 41 Royale. Er werden er van 1929 tot 1932 maar 6 van gebouwd, waarvan er twee te bewonderen zijn in het automuseum in Mulhouse. Dit musuem heeft overigens de grootste collectie Bugatti’s ter wereld. Bent U antieke-auto liefhebber, plan dan Uw volgende vakantie in de Vogezen en ga kijken! Zeer de moeite waard. De Coupé Napoleon op de foto lijkt niet zo groot, daarom een paar cijfers: een 8 cilinder in lijn motor, 12.763 cc, 2 inlaat en 1 uitlaatklep per cilinder, 2 bougies per cilinder, 1 carburateur, 275 PK. Topsnelheid meer dan 160 km/u. De spoorbreedte bedraagt 1,60 m en de wielbasis is 4,30 m (meer dan de totale lengte van een leuke middenklasser van tegenwoordig). Volgens Bugatti was hij ondanks zijn afmetingen echter zo dociel, dat een vrouw de auto probleemloos kon rijden.

According Bugatti, however, it could, despite it’s size, easily be driven by a woman.
